Bio
As a Sophomore (2022): Appeared in two matches for the Wolfpack…Played 30 minutes against Rhode Island (Aug. 18).
As a Freshman (Fall 2021): Appeared in four matches and played a combined 68 minutes…Made her collegiate debut on August 26 at Campbell…Also saw time vs. No. 10 South Carolina, UNCG and Oklahoma…Played a career-high 28 minutes vs. South Carolina.
Prior to NC State: Castro, a California native, comes from Real SoCal SC.
Santoro on Castro: “Sam has a real toughness about her that caught our eye. She’s a very combative midfielder that is comfortable on the ball. The combination of these qualities is what made Sam someone we wanted to get into our program.”
