Kylie Magar joined NC State in June 2024 as the Director of Communications. In her current role, she is the primary contact for the women’s basketball and women’s golf programs.
Before joining NC State, Magar spent two years at the University of Arkansas. During her stint with the Razorbacks, Magar was the Assistant Director of Communications, working with the women’s basketball and women’s golf programs, as well as serving as the tournament director for several NCAA postseason events hosted in Fayetteville.
Magar worked for Florida Atlantic University from October 2018 to June 2022. She started out as the Assistant Director of Communications before getting promoted as the Director of Communications in December 2021. During her four seasons in Boca Raton, Magar worked with several programs, including women’s basketball, men’s soccer, swimming and diving, track and field and cross country, beach volleyball and softball.
A graduate of the University of Missouri, Magar graduated cum laude and received a Bachelor of Journalism in May 2018. She worked as an intern with U.S. Masters Swimming during the summer after graduation, and as a student, Magar held internships in marketing and communications roles with the Seattle Thunderbirds Hockey Club, Fox Sports University and Seafair. While working in a full-time capacity at FAU, the Seattle native was enrolled in the well-renowned MBA Sport Management program, having graduated in August 2021.
