Michael Baric joins the Pack for the 2022-23 season following six seasons as the Assistant Swim Coach at the University of North Carolina.
During his time with the Tar Heels, Baric worked primarily with the sprint group, coaching numerous ACC medalists, team record holders, and NCAA All-Americans.
While working on his Masters in Sports Administration from the University of Florida, he worked with the Gators’ swim team as a manager and also earned valuable coaching experience with the Gator Swim Club.
Baric graduated with a BA in History from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he was a student-athlete for the Seahawk Men’s Swimming and Diving team. A three-time school record holder during his time at UNCW, Baric was also named the team’s Rookie of the Year in 2011 and served as captain of the Seahawk’s men’s team during his junior and senior years. In 2014, Baric was awarded with the Seahawk Leadership Award, given for his character, leadership, and commitment to the team.
