Kaneile Thomas is currently in her second year as Director of Men’s Soccer Operations for the Wolfpack. Alongside her duties with the Wolfpack, she coached soccer at NCFC for the 2022-2023 season.
She made the move to North Carolina in 2022 from Florida, where she spent the previous 10 years as Director of Soccer Sports Performance and a few years as the Assistant Director of Coaching for Florida Hawks F.C.
During her tenure at Florida Hawks F.C., she coached competitive teams of all ages, ran sports performance sessions throughout the club season and created the first soccer skills and sports performance summer camp for the club that is still running to this day.
Thomas also coached girl’s soccer for Newsome High School in Fishhawk, Florida for two seasons, taking them to the regional finals in 2020, before coming to NC State.
In 2009, she worked as a personal trainer specializing in pro and youth sport performance with a holistic approach. Then from 2013-2016, she was a physical education teacher and athletic director at Valrico Academy in Riverview Florida.
Thomas played at the University of South from 2006-09. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. She is an ACSM certified exercise physiologist and has her U.S. Soccer National “D” coaching license.
