Bio
As a Senior (Fall 2021): Made eight appearances, including one start, in her final season with the Pack…Logged 250 minutes, highlighted by a season-high 60 minutes on her start vs. #10 South Carolina on August 29…Played a role on the back line in three of the team’s shutout wins on the season.
As a Junior (Spring (2021): Appeared in seven matches, earning the starting nod in four of them at the back line…Missed two matches due to injury…Played a large part in the team conceding just six goals all year…Logged 438 minutes on the year and played the full time vs. Old Dominion, UNCW and Boston College.
As a Sophomore (2019): Appeared in three matches and played a total of 85 minutes in her first season with the Pack…Logged a season-high 31 minutes vs. Duquesne.
Prior to NC State (at UC-Davis): Ridgeway played one season at UC-Davis where she was named to the 2018 Big West All-Freshman Team...Started 17 of 19 matches, logging 1,745 minutes while scoring two goals and adding two assists as a defender...Has extensive experience with US Soccer programs, the U18 National Team in 2018 and the U16 National Team in 2015 and '16...Was also one of 40 seniors selected to compete in the fifth annual High School All-American Game in Orlando, Fla., in December of 2017.
Santoro on Ridgeway: "Margot is a person and player I really liked during her recruiting process a few years ago, so the opportunity to bring her to NC State was a no-brainer. She's got all the tools of a top defender by being good on the ball, making good passing decisions, being strong on the tackle and having an aerial presence. She'll add a lot to our defensive group."
