Bordeleau Tabbed to Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State women's soccer forward Jade Bordeleau has been named to the 2026 Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List, as announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches (IWSOC), in partnership with United Soccer Coaches, Wednesday afternoon.
The Hermann Trophy is presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club and is the nation's highest individual honor, recognizing the National Player of the Year as determined by a vote of Division I head coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches. The award is named in honor of the late Robert Hermann, the St. Louis, Mo., businessman and soccer executive who founded the National Professional Soccer League — the first professional soccer league in the United States, which later became the North American Soccer League. Hermann was inducted into the U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame in 2012.
Bordeleau is one of 30 players named to the midseason watch list and one of six players added to the list who were not included on the preseason watch list.
Following a breakout 2025 season in which she became the first NC State player since 2019 to score at least 10 goals in a season, Bordeleau has elevated her play again in 2026. The senior captain leads the Wolfpack and ACC with 13 goals, a total that ranks second nationally.
Bordeleau is averaging 1.08 goals per game, which ranks second in the ACC and fifth nationally, while her 4.50 shots per game rank second in the conference and ninth nationally. She has helped lead the Wolfpack to nine wins this season, the program's most since 2021.
With six regular-season matches remaining, Bordeleau will look to continue her strong season as she climbs the NC State career and single-season record books.
A total of 15 players will be named 2026 Hermann Trophy semifinalists on December 4, at the conclusion of NCAA Division I All-American voting. From that list, head coaches will cast votes and three players will be named finalists. The 2026 recipient will be announced January 8, 2027, in a ceremony at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis, Mo.
NC State next heads to No. 4 Wake Forest for its first top-10 opponent of the season on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 5 p.m. on ACCNX.
