GREENVILLE, S.C. - NC State women's tennis opened its fall season at the Debbie Southern Furman Fall Classic, which wrapped up Sunday morning. The nine-team, three-day event saw the Wolfpack earn 13 total wins between singles and doubles play, highlighted by three singles victories from Jasmine Conway.
NC State opened singles play strong on day one, with all five competing Wolfpack players earning wins in their opening-round matches. Georgia Cranford earned her first win as a member of the Pack, defeating Aida Eissa of Maryland, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, after joining the program prior to the 2026 spring season.
Roisin Gilheany also made her first appearance for the Wolfpack, earning a first-round win over Ameia Sorey of Indiana, 1-6, 6-2, 6-0.
Conway was the lone member of the Pack to win each of her three singles matches, topping Nicole Sifuentes of Indiana in the opening round, Bianca Ceroni of host Furman in the second round and Tess Bucher of Illinois in the final round. Conway dropped just five games across her final two matches, including a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Bucher to close out the weekend.
In doubles action, the newly paired No. 2 duo in the country of Victoria Osuigwe and Gilheany opened their time playing together with a pair of dominant wins. The duo defeated Maryland's Anastasiia Sorska and Aida Eissa, 6-1, before topping Furman's Sasha Dimitrov and Ceroni, 6-2, to advance to the third round. The pair was unable to compete in its final match due to injury, but still put together a strong opening weekend as a new tandem.
Jasmine Conway and Amelie Smejkalova also made their debut as a doubles tandem, earning a 6-2 win over Maryland's Mila Mulready and Lucia Donnelly in the opening round before falling to Georgia Tech's Sabritt Dozier and Rishitha Basireddy in a tiebreaker in the second round.
