Five Wolfpack Women Punch Tickets to NCAA Championships on Final Day

LEXINGTON, Ky - The final day of the NCAA East First Round was filled with NCAA Championship qualifiers for the Wolfpack women.Â
Freshman Sadie Engelhardt secured her spot in Eugene, winning her heat and finishing sixth overall in the 1500m quarterfinals.
In the steeplechase, both Angelina Napoleon and Kate Putman punched their tickets to the NCAA Championships. Napoleon won her heat and placed fourth overall, while Putman earned a second-place finish in her heat and placed seventh overall with a personal-best time.
Hannah Gapes and Bethany Michalak closed out the day by earning trips to Eugene, finishing seventh and 10th, respectively, in the 5000m. Gapes secured her NCAA Championships berth with a personal-best performance.
