Sadie Engelhardt Earns ACC Outdoor Track & Field Freshman of the Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Sadie Engelhardt earned Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Freshman of the Week honors, the league announced Tuesday evening.

Engelhardt broke the school record in the 800 meters at the Duke Invitational, the first outdoor meet of her collegiate career. She clocked 2:02.31 to finish second overall.

Her time currently ranks No. 7 in the NCAA this season.

The previous record of 2:02.43 was set by Kenyetta Iyevbele in 2025.

This honor marks Engelhardt's first ACC outdoor weekly award. During the indoor season, she was named ACC Track Athlete and Freshman of the Week for breaking the school record in the mile at the ASICS Sound Invite and was part of the distance medley relay squad that also earned ACC Track Athletes of the Week recognition.
