#9 Wolfpack Tops Boston College

RALEIGH, NC. - No. 9 NC State women's tennis earned a 6-1 home win over Boston College on Friday afternoon at J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. The Wolfpack claimed its 10th straight doubles point in the victory, while Victoria Osuigwe delivered the match-clinching win on court four.
NC State secured the doubles point for the 10th consecutive match to open the day. No. 2 Gabriella Broadfoot and Osuigwe gave the Pack an early advantage with a 6-1 win over Seren Agar and Natalie Eordekian on court one. Courts two and three were more tightly contested, but NC State clinched the point on court three as Mia Slama and Lavinia Tanasie defeated Bella Camacho and Tola Glowacka, 6-3. No. 80 Jasmine Conway and Anna Zyryanova led Olivia Benton and Olivia Cutone, 5-4, on court two when play was suspended.
Zyryanova opened singles play with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win on court three to double NC State's lead. Broadfoot then moved the Wolfpack within one point of the clinch with a 6-1, 6-2 victory on court two before Osuigwe sealed the match on court four with a 6-1, 6-2 win.
With the team result decided, the remaining matches were played out. No. 44 Slama added a win on court one, while Conway picked up a straight-set victory on court five. Boston College claimed its lone point of the afternoon on court six.
With the win, NC State improved to 14-5 overall and 6-1 in ACC play.
