#19 Men’s Tennis Loses to #59 Duke on the Road

RALEIGH – 19th-ranked NC State men's tennis faces its third loss of the season, falling to Duke in Durham Friday night.
NC State men's tennis tallied its third loss of the season, and second in conference play, after falling to Duke 4-0 in Durham. The squad's record for the season now moves to 15-3 (7-2 ACC).
The Pack originally held momentum when 21st-ranked Martin Borisiouk and Jules Leroux climbed their way to the first doubles win of the match, but then Duke was able to push away on court two while taking the lead on court three.
After stealing the doubles tiebreaker, and claiming the doubles point, Duke was able to swing momentum towards them.
Only three members of the Pack were able to claim their first set, Jules Leroux on three, Camus on five, and Pop on six. Duke was able to take control on the remaining courts to put pressure on NC State. Although leading on two courts, a split on court three allowed for the Blue Devils to see their way to a win.
Losses to ranked opponents on courts one and two, in addition to a loss on court four allowed the home team to clinch the win.
The loss marks the second to Duke this season, after the Pack lost to them indoors during ITA Kickoff in January.
