RALEIGH – Top-seeded Virginia snaps NC State men's tennis' 10-match win-streak at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center on Friday night with a 4-1 win by the Cavaliers. The loss for the Pack marks just the second loss so far this season.

A close doubles battle went in favor of Virginia by their No. 3 and No. 31 ranked doubles pairs on courts one and two. Cody Benton and Ainius Sabaliauskas were up 5-4 on court three before play was halted.

Facing No. 1 Virginia, NC State was only able to get one team point on the board against the Cavaliers, thanks to Darius Pop with a two-set win on singles court six.

88th-ranked William Manning on court two was just a few points away from clinching the biggest match of his career with his battle against 12th-ranked Keegan Rice. Charlie Camus on court five was also just moments away from securing a win before play was halted due to Virginia's clinch on court one.
