#14 Pack Heads to #32 SMU

DALLAS - Â Â No. 14 NC State women's tennis will travel to Dallas to take on No. 32 SMU on Sunday, March 15 at 1 p.m. ET at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex.

NC State swept Wake Forest, 4-0, in midweek ACC action on Wednesday, March 11. The Wolfpack secured the doubles point before earning singles victories on courts four, three and two to complete the sweep over the Demon Deacons.
In doubles, No. 2 Gabriella Broadfoot and Victoria Osuigwe opened the round with a quick 6-1 victory on court one. No. 57 Jasmine Conway and Anna Zyryanova then clinched the point on court two with a 6-3 win.
In singles play, No. 29 Lavinia Tanasie doubled NC State's lead with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Kady Tannenbaum. No. 66 Anna Zyryanova followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win on her birthday, before No. 35 Broadfoot clinched the sweep with a straight-sets victory, 6-3, 6-2.
Scouting the Mustangs
SMU enters the weekend with a 9-4 overall record, including a 3-3 mark in ACC play. Before hosting the Wolfpack on Sunday, the Mustangs will take on Wake Forest on Friday, March 13.
SMU is coming off a sweep of last weekend's ACC slate, earning wins over Boston College and Syracuse. The wins lead to the Mustangs sweeping the ACC weekly honors, as announced by the league office on Tuesday, March 10. Caroline McGinley was named ACC Player of the Week, while Amelie Van Impe earned her third consecutive ACC Freshman of the Week selection. The duo was also tabbed ACC Doubles Team of the Week for the second time this season.Â
