RALEIGH, N.C. – No. 21 NC State gymnastics closed out the regular season with a win on Senior Night, using a program-record score on bars to defeat West Virginia, 196.650-195.725, inside Reynolds Coliseum Friday night. The Pack's 49.500 on bars marked a new program high, with Elle Hadrick leading the rotation with an event-winning 9.975, a new career high that matched the highest individual bars score in program history.
Hadrick also won the event title on floor, setting a new career-best mark with a 9.925 to bring her career total to nine scores of 9.900 or higher across all events. Maddie Hall claimed the vault title for her second event win of the season, scoring a 9.850. All three of NC State's event winners on the night won their respective titles outright.
NC State also celebrated the program's four seniors following the meet in student manager Macy Bryson and student-athletes Meg Adler, Kailee Adomaites and Madeline Reid. Each of the three gymnasts competed during the meet, with Adler appearing in the floor lineup and competing in a vault exhibition. Adomaites performed exhibitions on floor and bars, while Reid competed on bars and in a beam exhibition. All four seniors were honored in a post-meet ceremony.
With Friday's regular-season finale, NC State closes the regular season with a 15-5 overall record, including a 4-2 mark in league action. The Wolfpack also posted a strong 6-1 home record inside Reynolds Coliseum.
Tonight's win marked the fourth Senior Night in a row where the Pack has earned the victory.
