Pack Welcomes Pitt for ACC Opener

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State softball team will close out its 21-game homestand with a series against Pitt to open ACC action. The two teams will take the field on Friday, March 13 at 7pm to begin the series before game two on Saturday at 5pm and the series finale on Sunday at 1pm.
The entire series will be streamed on ACCNX and gates at Dail Stadium will open one hour prior to first pitch.
The Series History With The Opponent
- The weekend series marks the ninth series between the two programs and Friday marks the 28th all-time meeting.
- When the Panthers visited Raleigh in 2024, the Pack swept the series, outscoring the Panthers 19-6.
- Of the last 10 meetings, the Pack has won seven.

- The Pack will begin a 21-game homestand on Feb. 17 against Queens, marking the longest in program history.
- The last time the Wolfpack played close to that many consecutive games at home was in 2020, when the Pack started a 20-game homestand in the second week of the season that concluded March 10 after the remainder of the season was canceled due to COVID-19.
Series Wins at a Premium
- Conference series wins can be hard to come by and something the Pack has struggled to secure throughout program history.
- In the last 10 seasons, the Pack has totaled 18 conference series wins - averaging 1.8 per season. The most series won in a season for the Pack was six, which was accomplished in both 2006 and 2014.
- No one on the current Wolfpack roster has won more than two series at most in a season while in Raleigh.
- It is worth noting that the last two seasons the Wolfpack has had one of the hardest ACC schedules in the conference, playing at least four ranked teams through eight weeks of conference action.
