#9 Pack Rallies Past #8 Oklahoma State to Advance at ITA National Team Indoors

EVANSTON, Ill. - The No. 9 and fifth-seeded NC State women's tennis team mounted a comeback from a 3-1 deficit to defeat No. 8 and fourth-seeded Oklahoma State, 4-3, and advance to the quarterfinals of the 2026 ITA National Team Indoor Championships on Friday evening at Combe Tennis Center
Oklahoma State grabbed the early momentum by securing the doubles point with wins on courts one and two, then extended its advantage early in singles play with a straight-set victory on court one to take a 2-0 lead.
The Wolfpack got on the board behind a strong performance from Jasmine Conway, who earned a straight set win on court six, defeating Marcela Lopez, 6-3, 6-4.
The Cowgirls moved within one point of clinching the match with a win on court four, building a 3-1 advantage, but NC State responded with a three-match surge to complete the comeback.
No. 110 Anna Zyryanova jump started the rally with a ranked victory on court three, knocking off No. 19 Rose Marie Nijkamp, 7-6(3), 6-3. Moments later, No. 36 Mia Slama evened the match with a hard-fought three-set win on court two, defeating Anastasiya Komar, 6-1, 6-7(5), 6-4.
With the match coming down to court five, Victoria Osuigwe delivered yet another clutch performance. The freshman battled through back-to-back tiebreak sets to defeat Luca Udvardy, 7-6(7), 7-6(1), clinching the 4-3 victory for the Wolfpack.
With the win, NC State advances to the quarterfinal round of the ITA National Team Indoor Championships and will face top-seeded Auburn.
