- Livingston responded with her first homer of the night, a 206-foot blast to deep center field, marking her third of the season and driving in two runs.
- Elisa Smith scored in the third inning on a groundout, extending the Pack's lead.
- A six-run fourth inning put the game out of reach. Kendall Simmers launched a two-run homer before Livingston added her second long ball of the night with a solo shot.
- With two outs, senior Ellington Whitaker recorded her second hit of the game with a single to center field, and junior Sarah Johnson followed with an RBI single to the opposite field.
- Short tallied her second double of the game and seventh of the season, ripping one down the left-field line to score two more runs. NC State finished the fourth inning with six runs on eight hits to take a 14-4 lead.
- Providence added two final runs on Peterson's second home run of the game.
