Women’s Basketball Back on Road to Play Boston College

RALEIGH – NC State will head back on the road, this time to face Boston College at Conte Forum on Thursday, Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ACC Network.
ABOUT NC STATE
- NC State has started the ACC season 7-2 and is third place in the league standings halfway through play
- The Wolfpack played its second consecutive overtime game, first time since 2017, and came out with a different outcome with a 78-76 win at Virginia
- NC State will look for its third straight road ACC win, as the Pack travels north to play Boston College
- NC State is No. 25 in the NET with two Quad 1 wins and four quad 2 wins
- With one of the toughest schedules in the country, NC State has the best average opponent NET ranking (70), which leads the country by nine, and has the fifth best NET SOS. NC State also has the third best WAB (wins above the bubble) mark in the ACC at 3.21
- Khamil Pierre leads the team in scoring (16.3) on 53.5 percent shooting (145-271) and rebounding (11.7), while also leading the league in defensive rebounds (8.3). She is sixth in the country in rebounding and eighth in double-doubles in the NCAA (12)
- Zoe Brooks paces the Pack with 4.7 assists per game and bumped up her scoring average by 1.2 points per game to now average 15.8 points per game
- Zamareya Jones has a team's best 1.2 steals per game and a team's most 43 3-pointers, while also averaging 14.6 points per game
- Tilda Trygger paces the Pack with 1.5 blocks per game and is tied with Pierre for a team's best field goal percentage a .535 (83-155), averaging 11.5 points per game
- Three different Pack players rank in the top 25 in scoring in the ACC with Pierre (4th - 16.3), Brooks (8th - 15.8) and Jones (12th - 14.6), and two rank in the top 10 in rebounding with Pierre (1st - 11.7) and Trygger (9th - 8.3)
- NC State leads the league in rebounds per game (45.15) and defensive rebounds per game (32.3), which are fifth and third in the country, respectively
- Brooks is coming off a career-high 37 points at Virginia, which marked the most points in a game for a member of the Pack since 1998 and ninth most in school history. She also broke program records in free throws made (19) and free throws attempted (20). She was named ACC Player of the Week and USBWA National Player of the Week
- Pierre was named one of 25 on the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watchlist on Tuesday
SCOUTING BOSTON COLLEGE
- Boston College was picked to finish 17th in the ACC Preseason Poll. The Eagles went 16-18 and 6-12 in ACC play with an appearance in the NCAA WBIT last year
- This season, BC is 4-18 and 0-9 in league play

The Pack will return home to host North Carolina on Monday, Feb. 2 for the 21st annual Play for Kay game. The game will tipoff at 6 p.m. on ESPN2 with a special halftime recognition honoring women who are cancer survivors.
