Hannah Gapes Named ACC Performer of the Week

Charlotte, N.C. - NC State cross country senior Hannah Gapes was named ACC Performer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Gapes led the Wolfpack at its season opener, capturing the individual 5K title at the adidas Challenge on Friday, Sept. 19. She crossed the finish line in 16:01.8, 14.7 seconds faster than her 2024 performance and finished 16.1 seconds ahead of runner-up and teammate Kate Putman.
The New Zealand native's honor is her first ACC Performer of the Week recognition and the Wolfpack's first since Grace Hartman earned the accolade in October 2024.
