
#2 Wolfpack Makes First Road Trip to Boston College

RALEIGH – Second-ranked NC State men's soccer hits the road for its first away match and second conference meeting of the season with a meeting at Boston College on Friday at 7 p.m.

Series History
• Friday's meeting marks the 23rd contest between the NC State Wolfpack and Boston College Eagles.
• The Wolfpack last met with the Eagles in Raleigh in 2023, which resulted in a 2-0 victory.
• Up until last season, NC State and Boston College faced each other every season since they first met in 2004. Four matches between the two have gone to overtime.
Quick Notes
• The Wolfpack started the season ranked at No. 14 in the preseason United Soccer Coaches poll, where it finished last season. After just week one of the regular season, the squad landed at eighth in the country, the last time the program was ranked that high was in September of 2018.
• Through two weeks of competition, the Pack was boosted to the No. 5 spot, marking the program's highest-ever ranking in the United Soccer Coaches poll (which began in 1996).
• In the fourth poll of the season, the Pack was pushed to No. 2 in the nation, marking a new program high for the United Soccer Coaches poll.
• NC State was picked to finish eighth in a competitive Atlantic Coast Conference that features four of the nation's preseason top 10 teams according to the United Soccer Coaches Poll.
• A win over Queens to open the season on Thursday moved the team's season-opening record under Marc Hubbard to 2-0.
• A crowd of 5,083 fans at the game vs. North Carolina on Friday, Sept. 5 set a new Dail Soccer Stadium attendance record.
