Pack Falls to No. 20 Michigan State

EAST LANSING, Mich. – NC State women's soccer (0-2-1, 0-0-0 ACC) dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 20 Michigan State (1-0-2, 0-0-0 B1G) on Thursday night at DeMartin Stadium.
The Spartans struck early as Kennedy Bell found the back of the net in the third minute. Michigan State then doubled its advantage in the 37th minute on a left-footed finish by Kayla Briggs.
Ava Lutke added a third tally in the 68th minute off a set piece to seal the result.
Despite the loss, the Pack was able to create chances in the attack, finishing with 10 shots, including five on target. NC State was narrowly out shot on the night, 11-10, though the Pack placed one more attempt on goal than the Spartans (5-4).
Of Note:
The Pack concludes its road stand on Sunday, Aug. 24 against Davidson at 1 p.m. The game will air live on ESPN+.

Of Note:
- The same six Wolfpack players went the full 90 minutes for the second consecutive outing: Olivia Pratapas, Yuna Aoki, Alex Mohr, Mana Nakata, Brooklyn Holt, and Mackenzie Smith.
- Madie Miller led the offensive efforts with a pair of shot attempts, while nine different NC State players recorded at least one shot on the night.
- Tonight marks the third game of the campaign that the Wolfpack took more shots on goal than their opponent.
