The ACC tournament moves to a single-elimination format this season. The winner of Thursday's contest will move on to the semifinals on Saturday, May 24, at 1 p.m.
This will be the first meeting between Clemson and NC State in the ACC Tournament since 2013, when the Wolfpack defeated the Tigers 6-3. Earlier this season, NC State swept the Tigers at the Doak. It was the first home sweep of the Tigers since 1997.
NC State will look to win their first ACC Tournament title since 1992. In 2021, and 2022 the Wolfpack made it to the championship game before falling to Duke 1-0 and 9-5 to UNC.
Earlier in the week, five members of the Pack received All-ACC honors as Chris McHugh was named to the All-ACC second team, and Pack starting pitchers Dominic Fritton and Ryan Marohn were named to the All-ACC third team. Freshman Anderson Nance and Ty Head were named to the All-ACC Freshman team.
