Marie Eline Madsen Tabbed to 2025 All-ACC Women’s Golf Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Marie Eline Madsen of the NC State women's golf team was selected to the 15-person 2025 All-ACC Women's Golf Team, as announced by the league office Friday.
This marks back-to-back years NC State women's golf and head coach Darby Sligh have an All-ACC Team honoree, as Lauren Olivares Leon picked up honors last season for the first time in the program since 2017. Madsen also becomes the ninth golfer in school history to earn all-conference honors. She is the first freshman since Augusta James in 2012 to earn an all-conference nod, and the second freshman to do so in school history.
Madsen leads the Pack with a 71.14 scoring average with 18 rounds at par or better and nine rounds in the 60s. She has finished in the top 20 in all 10 tournament appearances, highlighted by a win at the ECU Ironwood Invitational and seven top 10 finishes. Her win at ECU marked the first time since 2015 a freshman golfer at NC State won an event. Madsen has tallied 102 birdies, a team's most.
The Viborg, Denmark native is ranked No. 31 in the Scoreboard by Clippd rankings and No. 78 in the WAGR. Her 1-over finish at the ACC Championship marked the sixth best 54-hole score in a league tournament in school history. She is also on pace to break the season stroke average and is one of 10 golfers in school history to win a tournament.
The Pack is preparing for its 20th NCAA Regional appearance as a program, as NC State is set to compete at the NCAA Charlottesville Regional at the Birdwood Golf Course from May 5-7. NC State is looking to be one of the top five teams in the 12-team regional to advance to the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, California from May 16-21.
