
Pack Welcomes #21/18 Duke for Senior Weekend

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State softball is set to welcome No. 21/18 Duke for the final home series of the season starting on Friday, April 25 at 4pm.Â
The Pack is set to honor seniors Michele Tarpey, Payden Bordeay and Taylor Ensley before game two on Saturday, April 26. Fellow seniors Alaina Smith, Hannah Goodwin, and manager Hope Brennan will be honored before game three on Sunday, April 27. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats 30 minutes prior to first pitch to help honor the seniors. Â
All three games will be streamed on ACCNX.Â

- She smashed two homers in the April 22 win at East Carolina to move her season total to 13 and mark her first collegiate game with two homers.
- Her 13 homers (and likely counting) mark the most by a freshman in program history - a record that sat untouched for 18 years. Allison Presnell set the record in 2007.
- At the Marucci Classic, the freshie hit .778 on the weekend, going 7-for-9 from the box with a double and a homer and scored six runs and five RBI's. She had a stellar 1.222 slugging percentage AND went 100% from the field. To add on to the greatness, she struck out only once.
- Two members of the Pack have hit a grand slam this season -- Hannah Church and Michele Tarpey.
- 2025 marks the 15th season in program history that a member has recorded at least one grand slam.
- Only five former members of the Pack have hit more than one in their career with the red-and-white.
- With her slam at UNC on April 18, Church became just the third person in program history to tally two in one season.
- Including the two this year, the Wolfpack have tallied 32 grand slams in its 21 year history.
