
NC State Get Set to Compete in 2025 ACC Championships

CARY, NC – The No. 12 NC State Women's Tennis team is gearing up for a run at its second ACC title after earning the No. 3 seed in the 2025 ACC Women's Tennis tournament. The Wolfpack will face off against No. 6 seed Notre Dame in the quarterfinals this Friday, April 17 at 12:30 p.m. at Cary Tennis Park.
The Pack wrapped up a strong 2024-2025 regular season with a 16-5 overall record, including a 10-2 mark in ACC play. They were undefeated at home, going a perfect 11-0.

NC State captured its first ACC title in 2023 with a decisive 4-1 win over in-state rival North Carolina. That championship run was highlighted by Diana Shnaider's dominant performance, earning her ACC Tournament MVP honors.
In conference news, junior Anna Zyryanova was named ACC Player of the Week following her standout performance at the top singles spot. Zyryanova notched her first top-10 win by defeating No. 10 Connie Ma, handing Ma her first singles loss of the season. This is Zyryanova's first ACC weekly honor of the year.
On Tuesday, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its first postseason rankings, with NC State holding steady at No. 12 for the third consecutive week. In doubles, the pairing of Maddy Zampardo and Gabriella Broadfoot will enter championship play ranked No. 8 nationally. The duo finished the season with a strong 33-8 overall record and an 8-4 mark in conference play, remaining in the ITA top 10 all season. In singles, the Wolfpack hold a strong lineup featuring: No. 24 Michaela Laki, No. 45 Anna Zyryanova,No. 81 Maddy Zampardo, No. 89 Gabia Paskauskas, No. 96 Gabriella Broadfoot, and No. 118 Mia Slama.
Scouting the Fighting Irish
This will mark the 14th all-time meeting between NC State and Notre Dame, and their second clash of the season. The Wolfpack previously defeated the Fighting Irish 4-2 in South Bend on March 2. Notre Dame enters the quarterfinals ranked No. 25 in the ITA team rankings.In doubles, the Irish are led by the No. 71 ranked pair of Carrie Beckman and Akari Matsuno, while Matsuno also holds the No. 65 spot in singles.
