
No. 7/8 NC State Set to Face No. 11/11 Duke in 2025 Ally ACC Tournament Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The No. 7/8, 1-seeded NC State women's basketball team will play in its fifth conference tournament championship in the last six years, as the Pack will take on No. 11/11, 3-seeded Duke on Sunday, March 9. The 2025 Ally ACC Women's Basketball Tournament Championship will tipoff at 1 p.m. at First Horizon Coliseum. The game will be aired on ESPN.
ABOUT NC STATE
- ​​The Wolfpack earned its fifth ACC Tournament Championship appearance in the last six years after defeating North Carolina in the semifinals, 66-55. NC State improved to 19-10 in semifinals games and 62-40 in ACC Tournament games
- NC State finished 16-2 in the ACC to share the regular season title with Notre Dame. Winning the head-to-head matchup vs. Notre Dame after defeating the Irish 104-95 in double overtime, the Pack clinched the No. 1 seed for the seventh time in school history at the ACC Tournament
- The Pack is No. 7 in the AP Poll, which is the best ranking this season. NC State is in the top 10 for the fourth time this season, and also in the AP top 10 for the 219th week in program history. NC State is No. 8 in the WBCA Coaches Poll
- Four of the Pack's five losses have come to AP Top 15 teams: South Carolina (5), TCU (8), LSU (9) and UNC (14). All five teams (Cal included) are projected in the NCAA Tournament field
- NC State has won 22 of the last 24 games with a total of six ranked wins after starting the season 4-3
- NC State finished the regular season undefeated at home with a 16-0 mark. This marked the third time in program history the Pack has finished the regular season undefeated at home, the second time in the Wes Moore era
- The Pack has also won 21 straight home games (stretching back from last season), tied for the fifth longest active streak in the country
- The NCAA WBB Committee tabbed NC State a No. 2 seed, eighth overall, as it stands right now (Birmingham Region) on Feb. 27
- NC State is No. 16 in the NET and has an average opponent NET opponent ranking at No. 68, which is fourth in the country (trailing South Carolina- 61, Duke - 62 and Iowa - 67), as well as the 21st toughest strength of schedule in the country
- NC State is one of nine schools in the country to have picked up at least eight Quad 1 NET wins. The Pack is one of 10 schools to have at least 17 top 100 wins, tied for the second most in the country
- The Pack has four players who average double digits in scoring and has six who average 6.8 points per game or more
- Aziaha James leads NC State with 17.9 points per game, which is No. 6 in the ACC, and 66 made 3-pointers
- James is also No. 18 on the all-time scoring list (1,518) and No. 7 on the all-time 3-pointers made list (174) at NC State
- Madison Hayes paces the Pack with 7.1 rebounds per game
- Saniya Rivers leads the Pack in steals per game (1.6) and blocks per game (1.3)
- Zoe Brooks has a team-leading 3.9 assists per game
- Trygger is logging a 53.5 field goal percentage (84-157), which is the best among players with 100+ attempts, and has a team's most 64 offensive boards
- The Pack leads the ACC and is second in the country in least fouls per game (12.3). NC State is second in the ACC in defensive rebounds per game (29.9), which is eighth in the country, as well as turnovers per game (11.9) and rebounds per game (41.7), which are 14th and 17th in the country. NC State is also third in assist/turnover ratio (1.1) and field goal percentage defense (38.7)

- The Pack has won seven ACC Tournament Championships, three with Wes Moore: 1980 (W, 85-75 vs. Maryland), 1985 (W, 81-80 vs. North Carolina), 1987 (W, 57-56 vs. Virginia), 1991 (W, 84-61 vs. Clemson), 2020 (W, 71-66 vs. Florida State), 2021 (W, 58-56 vs. Louisville) and 2022 (W, 60-47 vs. Miami)
- NC State is 28-16 in quarterfinals games, 19-10 in semifinals games and 7-11 in championship contests
- NC State has the third most championships with seven among active ACC schools (UNC- 9 and Duke- 8)

- Toby Fournier was named ACC Rookie of the Year, as well as an All-ACC First Team selection and All-Freshman Team choice. She leads the Blue Devils with 13.7 points per game
- Ashlon Jackson was tabbed an All-ACC Second Team choice. She averages 12.1 points per game with 68 assists
- Jadyn Donovan was named to the ACC All-Defensive Team. She paces Duke with 6.7 rebounds per game
- Taina Mair has a team's most 128 assists and 50 steals
