
No. 12 Pack Set to Host Two Ranked Matchups In Weekend Showdown

RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 12 NC State women's tennis team is set to host two exciting ACC matchups this weekend at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. On Friday, March 7, the Wolfpack will take on the No. 37 Virginia Tech Hokies, followed by a showdown with the No. 2 Virginia Cavaliers on Sunday, March 9. Both matches will begin at 2:00 PM.
Admission to both events is free, fans will have the opportunity to . Those planning to come to Friday's match will need to obtain a virtual parking permit. Instructions for registering for the permit can be found HERE. Parking will be available in the West Deck, and with the NC State baseball team hosting Wright State at 3:00 PM across the street on March 7, guests should allow extra time for event traffic.
Both matches will be available for live tracking via StatBroadcast and can be streamed on Track Tennis.

The Wolfpack enters its first week of ACC competition at home, facing the Virginia Tech Hokies and the Virginia Cavaliers. According to the latest ITA rankings, NC State remains strong at No. 12, with notable individual performances from No. 42 Michaela Laki, No. 106 Maddy Zampardo, and No. 117 Gabia Paskauskas. In doubles, the duo of Maddy Zampardo and Gabriella Broadfoot hold steady at No. 2 in the ITA rankings, while Kristina Paskauskas and Jasmine Conway enter the Top 100 at No. 88.
Scouting the Hokies:
The Virginia Tech Hokies (currently ranked No. 37 in ITA rankings) feature standout players such as No. 26 Ozelem Uslu and the No. 60 doubles pair of Uslu & Charlotte Cartledge. This will mark the 23rd meeting between the two programs, with NC State leading the series 16-6. The Wolfpack extended its winning streak in the series to seven matches with a 6-1 victory over the Hokies in Blacksburg, VA, during the 2024 dual season.
Scouting the Cavaliers:
The No. 2 ranked Virginia Cavaliers boast an impressive lineup, including No. 18 Elaine Chervinsky, No. 22 Sara Ziodato, and No. 24 Annabelle Xu, along with several other top-50 singles players. In doubles, the Cavaliers are the nation's No. 1 team, led by the top-ranked pairing of Chervinsky and Melodie Collard. Virginia holds a 20-5 lead in the all-time series, with their most recent win being a 5-2 triumph over NC State in Charlottesville, VA, during the 2024 season. The Cavaliers are currently on a one-match win streak against the Wolfpack.
Looking ahead, the Wolfpack will prepare for the much-anticipated rivalry matches, facing Duke on Friday, March 21, and North Carolina on Sunday, March 23.
