#6 Pack Improves to 10-0 in League Play, Ties Program Record

CLEMSON, S.C. – In its final regular season away match, sixth-ranked NC State men's tennis improved to 10-0 in conference action with a 4-1 win over No. 22 Clemson on Sunday afternoon.
With a win over Clemson, NC State has now tied its program record of conference wins with 10, which was set last season in 2024. With three more ACC matches left in the regular season, the Pack has the opportunity to set a new program record.
Despite dropping the doubles point, the Wolfpack was able keep its league record perfect by claiming four singles courts to not let the Tigers score any more points. Clemson took control of doubles action with wins courts two and three, while also holding a lead on court one when play was halted.
After not playing in doubles, 23rd-ranked Martin Borisiouk came into singles play with energy as a spark off the bench to claim the first singles win for the Pack in straight sets on court two.
Very quickly after one after another, Luca Staeheli, William Manning, and Braden Shick each found their wins in straight sets to clinch the win for the Pack. Shick and Staeheli each claimed ranked victories in their individual matches.

NC State returns home to close out the end of the regular season by hosting Boston College on Friday, April 4 at 5 p.m. and No. 61 SMU on Sunday, April 6 at noon. The Sunday matinee match with SMU will have a senior recognition after action concludes to recognize Luca Staeheli, Braden Shick, and Fons Van Sambeek.
