#5 Wolfpack Strikes Down the Hurricanes 4-0 Sunday Afternoon

RALEIGH – Fifth-ranked NC State men's tennis rolled through No. 34 Miami 4-0 on Sunday afternoon to pick up its second sweep of the weekend and seventh consecutive win on the season.
NC State moved back to indoor courts due to inclement weather throughout the day, which proved to be no issue for the red-and-white trying to protect its home court.
Starting in doubles action, the two ranked pairs for the Wolfpack each helped secure the doubles point with 6-2 wins on courts one and two. The upperclassmen of the team, all featured at the top of the lineup, got it done for the Pack today in singles play.
Braden Shick landed back in the win column today, taking out No. 42 Martin Katz in straight sets on court one to push the team lead to 2-0. Another senior captain, Fons Van Sambeek cleaned up not long after with a two-set win on court four by a 6-3, 6-2 score, putting NC State one point away from clinching the match.
Despite not getting to finish his match, Martin Borisiouk displayed his resiliency on court two while he was down 0-4 and came back to win the first set of his match 7-5. In the end, the third senior captain Luca Staeheli claimed the final singles victory of the day when he cruised through his opponent on court three, 6-4, 6-3.

The Pack is set to travel this upcoming weekend to face Louisville on Friday and Notre Dame on Sunday.
