
#10 Men’s Tennis Returns Home for Midweek Matchup with UNCG

RALEIGH – 10th-ranked NC State men's tennis (7-4) returns home, welcoming UNC Greensboro (3-4) on Wednesday to resume nonconference action. The match is set to be played outdoors and will start at 3 p.m. at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.

• All tennis matches are played at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center on NC State's campus in Raleigh and are free of charge for fans to attend - this match is set to be played outdoors.
• Parking for fans is available at West Deck off of Western Blvd across the street.
• Start time for the match is slated for 3 p.m.
• Free Bojangles biscuits will be given away to fans while supplies last.

Series History with UNC Greensboro (leads 17-1)
• Wednesday's dual-match marks the 19th meeting between the Wolfpack and the Spartans. NC State leads the series over UNC Greensboro by 16 victories.
• The two last faced each other two seasons ago (January of 2023) for a doubleheader in Raleigh which resulted in 7-0 and 4-0 wins for the Wolfpack. The Pack has not allowed the Spartans to score any points on them since 2003.
Last Time Out
NC State competed in the 2025 ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Dallas, Texas. The Pack took down previously ranked No. 8 Kentucky and fell to previously ranked No. 2 Wake Forest and No. 5 Virginia.

Team Highlights
• After defeating No. 9 Mississippi State by a 4-1 score on the road, the team qualified for ITA National Team Indoors for the first time since the 2020 season. The win marked the first top-10 win for the program since the 2022 season.
• A strong opening performance at the ITA Team Indoor Championships allowed NC State to take down No. 8 Kentucky by a 4-1 score, marking the second top-10 win of the season.
Individual Highlights
• The Pack holds three players ranked in singles (No. 24 Braden Shick, No. 25 Martin Borisiouk, and No. 107 Luca Staeheli) and two pairs ranked in doubles (No. 17 Braden Shick & Fons Van Sambeek and No. 22 Jules Leroux & Luca Staeheli).
• Going undefeated in doubles and singles against No. 21 Harvard, LSU, and No. 9 Mississippi State all in the same week, Jules Leroux and Luca Staeheli claimed all of the ACC Weekly Awards as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, January 28. Staeheli was named Player of the Week, Leroux was named Freshman of the Week and the two together were named the Doubles Team of the Week.
• Braden Shick earned his first conference weekly honor of the season when he was named ACC Player of the Week on February 11 for his dominant victory over No. 20 Paul Inchauspe.
