RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 13/12 NC State women's basketball team is set for one of the biggest tests of the season, as the Pack hosts No. 1/1 Notre Dame on Sunday afternoon. The matchup features the two top teams in the ACC, as top-ranked Notre Dame has an unblemished 15-0 record in league play and NC State follows at 13-2. NC State will also host College GameDay, with the program taking place from 11 a.m. to noon. Doors will open at 10:15 a.m. for the public as a result (lineup starting at 7 a.m.). NC State goes into the game 14-0 at home this season and has won 19 straight contests at home.
ABOUT NC STATE
- The Wolfpack is coming off a huge 83-68 win on the road at No. 20/20 Georgia Tech, the Pack's fourth ranked win this season
- Four of the Pack's five losses have come to AP Top 10 teams: South Carolina (6), LSU (7), UNC (9) and TCU (10)Â
- NC State has won 17 of the last 19 games with a total of three ranked wins
- NC State is 14-0 at home and on an 19-game home winning streak (stretching back from last season), and has won six games on the road this year

- NC State is one of 12 schools in the country to have picked up at least five Quad 1 NET wins. The Pack is one of six schools to have at least 15 top 100 wins
- NC State entered back into the AP Top 10 for the first time since the preseason poll (NC State was ranked No. 9). That marks the 217th week in school history the Pack has been in the AP Top 10. Now the Pack is ranked No. 13
- Madison Hayes surpassed 1,000 career points vs. Miami, finishing that game with a team-high 19. The Pack now has three players who have surpassed 1,000 career points this season (Hayes, Aziaha James and Saniya Rivers)
- The Pack has four players who average double digits in scoring
- James leads NC State with 17.7 points per game, which is No. 6 in the ACC, and 53 made 3-pointers. The senior was one of 20 named to the Wooden Late Midseason Watch List, is one of 30 on the Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Midseason Player of the Year Team and one of 50 on the USBWA Midseason Player of the Year Watch List
- Hayes paces the Pack with 7.0 rebounds per game and has a team's most 55 offensive rebounds
- Saniya Rivers leads the Pack in steals per game (1.7) and blocks per game (1.3). She is on the USBWA Midseason Player of the Year Watch List and Cheryl Miller Midseason Top 10 Watch List
- Zoe Brooks has a team-leading 3.9 assists per game
- Mallory Collier has a team's best .592 field goal percentage (42-71)
- Head coach Wes Moore achieved 850 career wins at Florida State (2/13). He has coached over 1,100 games in his 36-year coaching career
- The Pack leads the ACC and is second in the country in least fouls per game (12.0). NC State is second in the ACC in turnovers per game (12.0), defensive rebounds per game (29.1) and rebounds per game (41.4), which are 11th, 14th and 19th in the country, respectively
ABOUT COLLEGE GAMEDAY
- College GameDay Covered by State Farm is headed to Raleigh for No. 1 Notre Dame vs. No. 13 NC State
- This marks the first time College GameDay is coming to Raleigh for WBB and the second time the women's team will be featured on the program after the set was in Greensboro for the ACC Championship game with Notre Dame and NC State last year
- NC State is one of four schools in the country to host College GameDay in football, men's basketball and women's basketball. Tennessee, LSU and Virginia Tech are the other three. NC State is just the second ACC school to host GameDay after VT did so last year
- NC State hosted College GameDay for men's basketball in 2013 (W, 91-83 vs. No. 18 North Carolina) and football in 2004 (L, 45-31 vs. No. 3 Miami)
- The show will be live from 11 a.m. to noon with Elle Duncan and analysts Andraya Carter and Chiney Ogwumike
SCOUTING NOTRE DAME
- Notre Dame was picked to win the ACC after taking home the ACC Tournament Championship last season and finishing with a 29-7 record, 13-5 in ACC. The No. 2 seed Irish made it to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 before falling to No. 3 seed Oregon State
- Hannah Hidalgo was the favorite for ACC Preseason Player of the Year and was on the ACC Preseason Team with Olivia Miles and Sonia Citron
- No. 5 recruit Kate Koval and Marquette transfer Liza Karlen were named to the ACC Newcomer Watch List
- Hidalgo is continuing to pick up from where she left off her freshman season, pacing the Irish with 24.9 points per game (second in the NCAA) along with 93 steals
- Pitt transfer Liatu King paces ND with 10.6 rebounds per game, while averaging 11.5 points per game
- Miles paces the way with 154 total assists and averages 16.7 points per game
- Koval has 46 blocks
- Four Irish average double digits in scoring (Citron rounds out the four with 13.5 points per game) and all eight rotational players average 5.9 points per game or more
SERIES HISTORY (NOTRE DAME LEADS 10-5)
- ​​The Pack and Fighting Irish will play for the 16th time of the all-time series
- The first meeting was in 1996, resulting in a 64-53 loss for the Pack
- NC State is 2-3 in games played at home vs. ND
- After starting the series 0-5, the Pack has won four of the last seven meetings
- NC State defeated the Irish on the road 59-43 last year in the regular season. ND's 43 points marked the fewest the Irish scored in a home game since 2004 and tied the fewest points the Pack had given up to a ranked opponent in school history
LAST TIME OUT
- ​​The Pack pushed past No. 20/20 Georgia Tech, using a 17-0 run late in the third quarter to defeat the Yellow Jackets, 83-68
- NC State shot 53.2 percent (33-62) from the field and won the battles in rebounding (37-35), points off turnovers (16-14) and fast breaks (9-7)
- James logged 17 points, including 15 in the first half, with three assists
- Brooks matched that team and game-high 17 points, while adding five rebounds, two assists and two steals
- Rivers flirted with a triple-double behind 16 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, along with two steals and a block that was huge defensively late in the game
- Hayes delivered big threes, finishing with four and logging 14 points, six rebounds and three assists
- Tilda Trygger finished with eight points, seven rebounds and two blocks, while playing 33 minutes
- The freshmen bench stepped up big in the Pack's run, as Devyn Quigley came up with a basket that initiated the 17-0 run and Zamareya Jones finished with seven points and two assists

The Pack will host Wake Forest on Thursday, Feb. 27 for Senior Day. That game will mark the final regular season game in Reynolds Coliseum this season and will tipoff at 7 p.m. The contest will be aired on ACC Network Extra.
