RALEIGH – Seventh-ranked NC State wrestling (11-1, 5-0) travels to 10th-ranked Virginia Tech (8-2, 4-1) for its regular season finale. The dual in Blacksburg is set for a 7 p.m. start from Cassell Coliseum and will be aired on ACC Network.

Series History
• Friday night's dual marks the 48th meeting between the Wolfpack and the Hokies.
• Amidst the Popolizio era, NC State trails the series 6-7. NC State picked up its first win over Virginia Tech with Popolizio at the helm in 2018 and has held an advantage, leading the series 6-2 since then.
• Last season's meeting between the two resulted in a 20-12 win for the Pack, granting them the ACC Regular Season title.

Quick Notes
• The program entered the top-five at No. 5 on January 7 after occupying the No. 6 spot for seven consecutive NWCA polls this season. After falling to No. 3 Oklahoma State, the Pack fell back down to No. 6 where it remained for another four weeks. After the team's bye week, the Pack was knocked down to No. 7 on February 11.
• NC State has remained in the top-10 for over 100 straight regular season NWCA polls.
• Nine of the 10 weight classes for NC State boast a ranked wrestler by InterMat, two of which are in the top-five.
• Isaac Trumble placed second in the heavyweight bracket at the highly competitive Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on December 7th after tallying ranked wins over No. 20 Lance Runyon of Northern Iowa and No. 5 Cohlton Schultz of Arizona State. His lone loss in the finals came from Oklahoma State's No. 3 Wyatt Hendrickson who placed third at the 2023 & 2024 NCAA Championships.
• Vince Robinson (125) and Isaac Trumble (285) have climbed to their highest-ever individual rankings, both in the top-five of their weight classes. Robinson is currently the second-highest ranked freshman in the country across all weight classes.
• Trumble leads the team in bonus point dominance with five falls and six technical falls.
• Robinson's lone loss on his record is a result of having to medically forfeit out of the Cliff Keen Invitational.
Around the ACC
• The ACC holds five teams ranked nationally in the top-25 (No. 7 NC State, No. 10 Virginia Tech, No. 16 North Carolina, No. 17 Stanford, and No. 18 Pitt). There are seven teams in total with wrestling programs in the ACC.
• NC State competes this season as the defending ACC Champions for the sixth straight season. The consecutive titles make the Wolfpack the second wrestling program to hold at least six consecutive ACC trophies (other program being previous conference member Maryland. The program now has 21 total conference championships, the most among current ACC teams.
• NC State remains the lone undefeated team in conference action with North Carolina and Virginia Tech right behind, each holding one loss.
• Three members of the Pack have claimed five different ACC Wrestler of the Week honors. Vince Robinson (125) on Nov. 12, Jan. 14, and Feb. 4, Isaac Trumble (285) on Nov. 19, and Koy Buesgens (149) on Jan. 28.
• NC State is one of two ACC schools (other one being Virginia Tech) to have at least two wrestlers ranked in the top-five of their weight classes according to InterMat.
