
#19 Pack Prepares for ITA National Team Indoors in Dallas

RALEIGH – 19th-ranked NC State men's tennis is set to play in the highly-competitive 2025 ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Dallas, beginning this Friday against fourth-seeded Kentucky.
NC State has been placed as the fifth seed on the left side of the 16-team bracket and will first face fourth-seeded Kentucky Friday night in Dallas, Texas at 7:30 p.m. (ET). The opening rounds of the tournament is split between facilities at Baylor in Waco and SMU in Dallas.

Last Time Out
The Wolfpack defeated Princeton on the road by a 4-1 decision last Friday. Freshman pair, Noah Gabriel and William Manning, got it done first for NC State on doubles court three with a 6-4 victory. Jules Leroux and Luca Staeheli played on doubles court one for the first time together and secured the doubles point with a top-55 win.
Braden Shick led his team with the first singles point on court one with a huge victory over 20th-ranked Paul Inchauspe in straight sets. The other two points came from Staeheli on court three and Manning on court five to give the squad its sixth win of the season.

• The ACC holds seven teams ranked nationally, three of which are now inside the top-10 (No. 2 Wake Forest, No. 5 Virginia, No. 7 Duke, No. 11 Stanford, No. 15 Florida State, No. 19 NC State, and No. 23 California).
• NC State is scheduled to play eight teams featured in the ITA preseason rankings (No. 4 Wake Forest, No. 5 Virginia, No. 8 Columbia, No. 9 Florida State, No. 12 Duke, No. 17 Stanford, No. 21 Harvard, and No. 25 Michigan)
• The Pack holds three players ranked in singles (No. 16 Braden Shick, No. 45 Martin Borisiouk, and No. 110 Luca Staeheli) and two pairs ranked in doubles (No. 28 Braden Shick & Fons Van Sambeek and No. 33 Jules Leroux & Luca Staeheli).
• Head coach Kyle Spencer enters his eighth season at helm of the Wolfpack.
• The program welcomes three freshmen to their first collegiate spring season - local product from Chapel Hill, Cody Benton, Netherlands native, Noah Gabriel, and Bulgaria native Nikolay Nedelchev.
• A doubleheader win to open the season made the Pack 8-0 in winning season premiere matches with head coach Kyle Spencer at the helm of the program.
• After defeating No. 9 Mississippi State by a 4-1 score on the road, the team qualified for ITA National Team Indoors for the first time since the 2020 season. The win marked the first top-10 win for the program since the 2022 season.
• Going undefeated in doubles and singles against No. 21 Harvard, LSU, and No. 9 Mississippi State all in the same week, Jules Leroux and Luca Staeheli claimed all of the ACC Weekly Awards as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, January 28. Staeheli was named Player of the Week, Leroux was named Freshman of the Week and the two together were named the Doubles Team of the Week.
• Braden Shick earned his first conference weekly honor of the season when he was named ACC Player of the Week on February 11 for his dominant victory over No. 20 Paul Inchauspe.
