NC State Travels to No. 9 Oklahoma for the ACC/SEC Challenge

NORMAN, Okla. – The NC State women's basketball team is set to face No. 9 Oklahoma, the first time in the all-time series, for the ACC/SEC Challenge. Wednesday's game is set for a 7:15 p.m. Eastern tipoff at the Lloyd Noble Center. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2. The Pack is 2-0 in the ACC/SEC Challenge and is set for its first challenge game on the road and first true away game of the season.
ABOUT NC STATE
- NC State has started the season 5-3 against one of the toughest schedules in the country
- NC State debuted at No. 39 in the NET with an average opponent NET ranking stacking at the second highest among Power 4 schools (92)
- The Pack is coming off a 2-0 week at the Cancun Challenge with wins over Green Bay (79-67) and Southern Miss (110-56). The 110 points against the Golden Eagles marked a Cancun Challenge tournament record for most points in a game (surpassed UConn's previous record of 109 set in 2008) and marked the most points scored in a game in the Wes Moore era
- Khamil Pierre was named the Cancun Challenge Yucatan MVP and All-Tournament Team after averaging 15.0 points, 18.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game with 37 total rebounds among the two games
- Zoe Brooks was also named on the All-Tournament Team after averaging 17.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game

- Brooks leads the Pack with 14.1 points per game, 5.3 assists per game and 1.5 steals per game

- Oklahoma has started the season 7-1 and is ranked No. 9 in the AP Poll
- The Sooners are coming off a 109-91 win over Florida State in the Coconut Hoops Classic
- Oklahoma was picked to finish fourth in the SEC Preseason Coaches Poll and fifth in the Media Poll. The Sooners went 27-8 and 11-5 in the SEC, making the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16
- Reagan Beers was picked on the Preseason All-SEC First Team by the media and coaches and Payton Verhulst was tabbed on the Preseason All-SEC Second Team
