RIVIERA MAYA, Mexico – The No. 25 NC State women's basketball is in Cancun for two games for the Cancun Challenge. NC State will play Green Bay on Thursday, Nov. 27 at 4 p.m. and Southern Miss on Friday, Nov. 28 at 4 p.m. Both games will be streamed on FloHoops and can be listened to on the radio on WKNC 88.1 FM.
ABOUT NC STATE
- NC State has started the season 3-3 behind one of the toughest schedules in the country with three of its first four games being against top 20 opponents
- NC State will play in the Cancun Challenge for the fifth time in the program's history and third time since 2018
- NC State picked up a top 10 win over No. 8/9 Tennessee, 80-77, at the Ro Greensboro Invitational, and has gone 1-2 in its first three ranked matchups
- Khamil Pierre paces the team in points with 13.3 per game and rebounds with 10.8 per game, with her rebounding average and double-doubles totals (3) leading the ACC

Southern Miss
- Southern Miss was projected to finish fifth in the Sun Belt Preseason Poll. The Golden Eagles went 10-21 last season and are now led by Missy Bilderback, who has guided Southern Miss to a 6-0 record in her first season at the helm in Hattiesburg
- Meloney Thames was picked on the Preseason All-SBC Third Team. She averaged 13.1 points per game at ULM last season
- Carly Keats, an Arkansas transfer, leads Southern Miss with 13.6 points per game on 39.4 percent from 3-point. She is also tied with Thames for a team's most assists with 14
- Sakyia White leads the Golden Eagles with 7.6 rebounds per game

- NC State fell to Rhode Island 68-63, with the Rams making a 7-0 run at the end to close the game out
