
Pack to Play Home-and-Home Matches with Wake Forest

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State volleyball team is scheduled to play a home-and-home series with Wake Forest this week. The two programs will meet in Winston-Salem on Wednesday, October 8 at 7pm on ACC Network before meeting in Raleigh on Saturday, October 11 at 2pm on ACCNX.Â
Due to construction on Morrill Dr, fans should expect major delays and allow more time to arrive on campus on Saturday. For egress, patrons will be directed to use Cates Ave to Pullen Road or Dan Allen Dr to access Western Blvd.

The Basics of the Matchup
- NC State will play a home-and-home series with Wake Forest starting in Winston-Salem. Wednesday's match marks the 67th all-time between the two programs.
- The Pack has won 13 out of the last 14 meetings - dating back to 2014 - and won both meetings during the 2024 campaign.
- In the last meeting when the Wolfpack won in five sets; then junior outside Courtney Bryant picked up a double-double after posting 15 kills and 10 digs.
- Defensive specialist/libero Sydney Daniels is the only other current member of the Pack to have faced the Demon Deacons - she tallied one ace and six digs in the five set win.
- The match also marks the first against the respective school for both head coaches - MWK a first time head coach and Hulsmeyer took over the helm of a program for the first time since 2008 when he coached at Georgetown.

Francom Bricks for Sale
- Freshman middle blocker Talia Francom tallied a career high 11 total blocks in the Pack's five set win over Florida State on Oct. 5. She is the first freshman since Kaitlyn Kearney in 2014 to record 11 or more total blocks in a match.
- She is the first person since Jada Allen (11/30/24 vs #10 SMU in five sets) - a fellow middle blocker - to tally at least 10 in a match.
Thrice as Nice
- Three members of the Pack have led the squad in kills in every match this season - Courtney Bryant, Rebecca Ring, Jordan Smith - and two of them are freshman.
- Outsides Courtney Bryant and Rebecca Ring have led the Pack in kills in three of the last five matches. The duo combined for 40 of the squad's 58 kills in the five set win over Florida State.
- Opposite Jordan Smith was a key contributor in the kills category in non-conference play.
- Bryant has tallied three 20+ kills matches this season, becoming the first person since former teammate Amanda Rice - who tallied just as many in both her junior and senior season - to do so.
- Ring and Smith are the first freshman since teammate Clara Vondran to tally at least 16 kills in a match during their first collegiate season - Vondran tallied 16 in her collegiate debut in 2023.
