After BC scored its first basket three minutes into the game, Tilda Trygger and Aziaha James answered with back-to-back baskets through contact to start a 10-0 run for the Pack. BC made a 3-pointer, but Madison Hayes found Trygger for two to extend the Pack's lead to 18-7, forcing BC to call a timeout with 4:06 left in the first. Out of the break, James knocked down a triple and came up with a layup off a steal, a part of a 20-5 run to close out the first quarter. The Pack led 28-9 at the end of the first quarter, shooting 69 percent compared to BC's 16.
The Pack began the second quarter with a Rivers' layup off her third steal of the game. The Pack could not find a field goal for over two minutes until Rivers found the hoop for two. After a Devyn Quigley putback layup, the Pack led 39-18 at the media timeout taken with 4:35 left in the first half. BC got out of a three-minute drought without a field goal with five straight points, but James answered with a triple and Rivers knocked down a jumper off a Maddie Cox steal. The Pack outscored BC 22-18 in the second quarter to take a 50-27 advantage into halftime.
Rivers delivered a layup in response to a BC jumper to open the third quarter. The Pack drew four fouls in the opening four minutes of the third quarter, and went 4-of-6 from the line during that stretch. The Pack was held in a scoring drought for nearly three minutes until Quigley broke the drought with a layup.
