Pack Set to Play at Syracuse

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State women's basketball team will head on the road to face Syracuse on Thursday, Jan. 23. That game between the No. 20 Wolfpack and the Orange will tipoff at 6 p.m. at the JMA Wireless Dome on ACC Network.
ABOUT NC STATE
- ​NC State is coming off its 16th straight home win to improve to 11-0 at Reynolds this season, as well as the third straight victory to defeat Virginia, 73-68
- Aziaha James was named USBWA National Player of the Week. She averaged 21.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game last week vs. Pitt and Virginia
- The Wolfpack has won 10 of the last 11 games
- The Pack is tied with Duke for second in the ACC standings with a 6-1 mark
- The Pack's average opponent NET ranking is the fourth best in the country at No. 79, the third highest of all Power 4 schools, as well as the 10th toughest strength of schedule in the country

SCOUTING SYRACUSE
- ​​Syracuse was picked to finish 11th in the ACC Preseason Poll after going 24-8 with a 13-5 ACC mark last season. The Orange earned the sixth seed in the NCAA Tournament to defeat 11-seed Arizona, 73-69 in the first round at the Storrs Region before falling to host UConn, 72-64
- The Orange enter Thursday 7-11 with a 1-6 ACC mark
- Georgia Woolley leads the Orange with 15.1 points per game with 60 total assists and 24 steals
- Kyra Wood paces the Orange with 6.7 rebounds per game and Izabel Varejao has 19 total blocks
SERIES HISTORY (NC STATE LEADS 12-4)
- The Pack and Orange will face off for the 17th time of the all-time series

- Tilda Trygger finished shy of a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds, including seven offensive boards. Her nine boards in the fourth quarter matched a program record for most rebounds in a quarter (with Elissa Cunane's nine in the third quarter vs. UNC in 2020)
- Rivers finished with a team-high four steals along with six points and three assists

NC State will return home to host Virginia Tech on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ACC Network at Reynolds Coliseum.
