
Pack Wraps Up California Trip at Stanford

PALO ALTO, Calif. – The NC State women's basketball team will finish its trip out west and look to get back to its winning ways, as the Pack face Stanford on Sunday at 3 p.m. Eastern. That game from Maples Pavilion will be broadcast on ESPN.
ABOUT NC STATE
- ​NC State fell in a top 25 battle at Cal, 78-71. The Wolfpack had a seven-game winning streak before its loss at Cal to hand NC State its first ACC loss
- The Pack is tied for third in the ACC standings with a 3-1 mark
- The Pack's average opponent NET ranking is the second best in the country (trailing Villanova) at No. 79, the highest of all Power 4 schools, as well as the eighth toughest strength of schedule in the country, which is No. 4 of all Power 4 teams
- NC State is one of 18 schools in the country to have picked up at least two Quad 1 NET wins and one of 42 with at least one. The Pack is one of nine schools to have at least seven top 100 wins
- NC State is No. 21 in the AP Poll. The Pack's four losses are to top 25 teams, including three to top 11 squads: No. 2 South Carolina, No. 6 LSU and No. 11 TCU. The Pack has been ranked in each WBCA Coaches Poll rankings, currently sitting at No. 19
- The Pack has five players who average 8.9 points or more per game
- Aziaha James leads NC State with 16.8 points per game and 32 made 3-pointers. The senior was one of 25 named to the Wooden Midseason Watch List
- Saniya Rivers leads the Pack in rebounds per game (6.5), steals per game (1.5) and blocks per game (1.1)
- Zoe Brooks has a team-leading 3.7 assists per game and a .469 field goal percentage
- The Pack leads the ACC and the country in least fouls per game (12.1). NC State is second in defensive rebounds per game (29.9) and field goal percentage defense (36.0), which are 13th and 23rd in the country. The Pack is also third in rebounds per game (43.0)
- NC State and Stanford will have a rematch from last year's Sweet 16, in which the Pack defeated the Cardinal, 77-67. Sunday's game marks the first time the Pack and Cardinal will face off as ACC opponents, as well as the first time the Pack will play at Stanford since 1987
SCOUTING STANFORD
- ​​Stanford was picked to finish seventh in the ACC Preseason Poll, receiving one first-place vote. The Cardinal finished 30-6 with a Sweet 16 appearance as a No. 2 seed, losing to the Pack in Portland
- The Cardinal appeared in the AP Top 25 on Nov. 11
- Stanford is 9-6 and 1-3 in the ACC this season
- Nunu Agara leads the Cardinal with 17.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, as well as 33 assists
- Elena Bosgana has a team's most 26 steals and averages 13.9 points per game and Brooke Demetre leads in blocks with 17, while averaging 12.2 points per game

- The Pack and Cardinal played for the first time in 1987, resulting in a 69-59 loss for NC State on the road
- NC State and Stanford played in the Sweet 16 last season. After being down 10 at halftime, NC State charged back to defeat Stanford 77-67 to advance to the program's third ever Elite 8
