Game Notes

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State volleyball will travel south to Tampa for the South Florida Invitational. The Pack will open play on Friday, Sept. 13 against North Florida at 4pm before playing the host, USF, on Saturday at 2pm on ESPN+.

The Pack heads to Tampa with a 2-2 record.

The Basics of the Matchup(s)

Friday's match up with North Florida will mark the first ever meeting. UNF lost its last two matches to Jacksonville and No. 21 Florida State.
The Ospreys finished the 2023 season sixth in the ASUN.
Saturday's meeting with South Florida marks the second in program history and the Wolfpack won the initial meeting in 2012. The Bulls are on a three game winning-streak and recently defeated then No. 10 Florida in five sets. USF received votes in the recent AVCA/Taraflex Coaches Poll after the win in Gainsville, Fla.
USF finished first in the East and first overall in the ASUN in 2023.

Court Chop, The Difference Maker

Junior outside hitter Courtney Bryant has proven to be the game changer in the last two matches for the Wolfpack. She started both matches and has tallied 10 kills in each.
Despite the Pack dropping the match to Mizzou on September 1, Bryant started the match and immediately scored a handful of points in attempts to help the Wolfpack down the Tigers.
Bryant missed the beginning for the 2023 season due to injury and quickly became a familiar face in the lineup last season. She has already proven to be a name to remember this season.

Big Red's Makes a Statement

Senior Amanda Rice tallied 37 kills during opening weekend for the Pack and recorded double-digit kills in all three matches.
As of Monday, the opposite ranks seventh in the nation among opposites for kills per set (3.70), leads the ACC in kills per set by an opposite, and overall, ranks 93rd in the nation for kills per set.
