The Basics of the Matchup(s)
- Wednesday's meeting with the Flames marks just the fourth meeting between the two programs and the first since 2011. Liberty holds a 2-1 advantage over the Pack, having won the first two meetings (2004, 2008).
Big Red Makes a Statement
- Senior Amanda Rice tallied 37 kills during opening weekend for the Pack and recorded double-digit kills in all three matches.
- As of Monday, the opposite ranks seventh in the nation among opposites for kills per set (3.70), leads the ACC in kills per set by an opposite, and overall, ranks 93rd in the nation for kills per set.
Opening Weekend of Milestones
- The Pack saw two student-athletes reach career milestones in opening weekend. Senior setter Naomi Cabello reached 1,000 assists and senior middle blocker Jada Allen achieved 500 kills in the loss at then No. 12 Creighton. Cabello became just the second setter in the Slabe Era to achieve 1,000 assists -- she joins former setter Kristen McDaniel.
- Allen is the third athlete on the current roster to reach 500-plus kills in the past year. She joins Ava Brizard and Amanda Rice in the 500 kills club under Slabe.
