Sophomore outside Courtney Bryant would record a massive kill on the next rally to tie the set 14-all. The two teams battled back-and-forth, exchanging points before the Tigers took a three-point lead, forcing another NC State timeout.
- The Tigers attempted to close set one on a 10-0 run, but the Pack decided to shake things up and go on a 5-0 run of its own. A block by Cabello and Jada Allen helped slow the Tigers who recorded three consecutive errors. Missouri ended up taking the set, 25-20.
- The Wolfpack struggled to slow the Tigers in set two as Missouri maintained the lead throughout. The Tigers led by as many as 10 points (24-14) in the second set.

After six errors by the Tigers offense, the Wolfpack minimized the deficit to two (22-20) and forced a Missouri timeout.
