RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State women's soccer head coach Tim Santoro announced the program's 2024 schedule on Wednesday morning. The 18-game slate features 10 home matches at Dail Soccer Stadium beginning with the season opener against App State on Thursday, Aug. 15.
After opening the season with an exhibition against Carolina Ascent in Charlotte on Aug. 8, the Wolfpack welcomes App State (Aug. 15) and East Carolina (Aug. 18) for a pair of home matchups on opening weekend.
The Pack then hits the road for a pair of matches at Campbell (Aug. 22) and VCU (Aug. 25), respectively. NC State returns to Dail Soccer Stadium following the two-game road trip to play five of its next six matches at home. The Wolfpack hosts Charlotte (Aug. 28), Colorado (Sept. 1) and William & Mary (Sept. 12) to conclude its nonconference schedule.
NC State then opens ACC action against new league members Cal (Sept. 19) and 2023 national runner-up Stanford (Sept. 22) at Dail Soccer Stadium. Prior to the start of league play, NC State also travels to Piscataway, New Jersey, for a contest at Big 10 foe Rutgers on Sept. 8.
Following a stretch of five of its six games at home, NC State will play four of its next five on the road. The Pack competes in its ACC road opener at Notre Dame on Sept. 26 before facing off against Louisville (Sept. 29), Virginia (Oct. 10) and Syracuse (Oct. 17) to conclude the road stretch. NC State's sole home match during that five-game span is an ACC matchup against Boston College on Oct. 3.
NC State hosts ACC Tournament runner-up Clemson (Oct. 20) before hosting Virginia Tech on Oct. 24 for its regular season home finale. The Wolfpack then concludes its regular season slate at Wake Forest on Halloween.
Campus sites will host opening round matchups of the 2024 ACC Tournament on Nov. 3. The 2024 ACC Tournament semifinals will again be held in Cary at WakeMed Soccer Park from Nov. 7-10.
The NCAA First Round is slated for Nov. 15-17, while the second and third rounds will be held Nov. 22-24. The Elite Eight will be played Nov. 28 to Dec. 1 at select campus sites before the NCAA College Cup returns to WakeMed Soccer Park from Dec. 6-9.
The program welcomes 11 newcomers to the 2024 roster, five of which arrived in January and competed for the Pack in the Spring 2024 campaign. The 2024 recruiting class features student-athletes from five different countries, including four players capped with international experience. The 2024 signing class also includes five transfers.
