
No. 12 Wolfpack Wraps Up Regular Season on the Road at Georgia Tech and Clemson

RALEIGH, NC – The final weekend of the regular season approaches, and No. 12 NC State women's tennis hits the road seeing them take on the No. 24 Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech on Friday, April 12 at 4 p.m. and No. 57 Clemson on Sunday, April 14th at 12 p.m.
Not much separates these two teams in the conference standings, with NC State (17-7, 7-4) and Georgia Tech (12-7,8-3) separated by one match as the Yellow Jackets sit in third place and the Wolfpack in sixth with a 4-4 record on the road.
NC State and Clemson have met once this season, earlier in the year, during the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. The Wolfpack earned a 4-0 victory to secure their spot in the ITA National Indoor Championships, where they would go on and reach the semifinals.

The Wolfpack are coming off a 1-1 weekend, which saw them move up in the rankings from 15th to 12th. Amelia Rajecki earned her 100th career singles win with a win on court one over Miami. Rajecki becomes the fourth player in program history to do so with fellow seniors Abigail Rencheli (91) and Sophie Abrams (79), among the top 10 in singles wins in program history.
Although Clemson leads the overall series 41-12, NC State will go for their ninth straight win over the Tigers. The Wolfpack will be trying to do something similar against Georgia Tech, looking for their fourth straight victory over the Yellow Jackets.
Both doubles pairings for the Wolfpack have consistently been ranked among the very best all season, with Rajecki and Maddy Zampardo ranked No. 10, and Abrams and Anna Zyryanova ranked No. 17. Abrams, with 28 doubles wins, has surpassed her total from last season.
The freshman Zampardo is among the very best in ACC play. The two-time ACC Freshman of the Week comes into the weekend with an 8-2 record in conference play to lead the team.
Following the conclusion of the regular season, NC State will know where it is seeded for the ACC Tournament, which is set for April 17-21 at the Cary Tennis Park.
