Six from Pack Football Named to Hampshire Honor Society

IRVING, Texas – The National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame (NFF) announced today that six Wolfpack Football players were named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame's 2024 Hampshire Honor Society.
Anthony Carter, Jr., Demarcus Jones, II, Matt McCabe, Timothy McKay, Noah Potter, and Collin Smith joined the prestigious group, each maintaining a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers. 1,989 players from 339 schools qualified for membership in 2024, setting a record for the number of members in a single year during the program's 18-year history.
Carter played in 13 games this season, starting in 12 at offensive guard. He ranked second on the offensive line in Raleigh Railroads with 13 and earned the line's highest grade against the Tar Heels with a career-high six pancake blocks.
Jones, who played in 10 games this season, ran for 61 yards and scored his first career touchdown against VMI. For the second straight year, he was named to the All-ACC Academic team.
A recipient of the NFF 2022 University Scholar-Athlete Award, McKay once again was an All-ACC Academic performer and a semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy in 2022 and 2023. He led the offensive line in Raleigh Railroads with 18 for the season.
Enrolling with the Wolfpack in January 2023, Potter was named to the All-ACC Academic Team in his first year with the Pack. He saw action in 11 games this year, recording 112 snaps on defense and recovering a fumble against Notre Dame.
Named All-ACC Academic team for the second time in his career, Smith handled all the kickoff duties for the Wolfpack this past season, with 40 of his 66 kicks resulting in touchbacks.
