
No. 16 NC State Set To Host UNC and Duke in Two Top- 25 Matchups

RALEIGH, N.C.- No. 16 NC State is hosting No. 23 North Carolina, and No. 14 Duke Friday, Apr. 12, and Sunday Apr. 14 in the last home two matches of the regular season.Â
ÂOn Friday the Pack will host cross-town rival North Carolina at 5:30 PM. Admission is free for guests. Friday's match is a RED OUT! Come show your support as the Pack welcomes back NC State men's tennis alumni prior to the match, fans will also have the opportunity to enter for the chance to win a free racket! Get there early to secure your free Chick-Fil- A nuggets while supplies lasts! Sunday the Pack will host Duke in the last home match-up of the regular season. Come out and celebrate Senior Day as the Pack recognizes senior Robin Catry as he takes the court one last time at J.W. Isenhour tennis center.
Prior to Sunday's match the Wolfpack will host a free kids clinic for participants between the ages of 5-12! Promotions will include a popsicle giveaway, the chance to win a free racket, inflatables, and yard games. Click the link to register - Kids Clinic
ÂPack in the Rankings:Â
The Pack headed into the end of their regular season agenda 8-2 in ACC play, and 15-5 overall jumped to the No. 16 spot in ITA team rankings this week. The Pack features Senior Robin Catry who stands tall at the No. 51 spot. Junior Fons Van Sambeek joins Catry at the No. 72 spot with an 8-1 ACC singles record.Â
ÂACC player of the week Braden Shick made an appearance at the No. 79 spot after a successful 2-0 week in singles. Shick controlled the court in singles play against No. 16 Florida State in a two set take down 6-1, 6-2 last week.
ÂRobin Catry and Luca Staeheli continue to climb in ITA doubles rankings, checking in at the No. 65 spot. Joining them is Duo Martin Borisiouk, and Joe Wayand at the No. 72 spot who have remained in the charts since week one.
ÂScouting the Tar Heels
The Tar Heels head into the weekend with a 13-6 overall record, and 7-3 record in conference play. The Heels picked up the No. 23 spot this week in ITA team rankings, coming off of a 2-5 loss against the Duke Blue Devils Apr. 6. The Pack last took on the Heels Mar. 31, 2023 on the road in Chapel Hill.Â
ÂThe Heels feature No. 75 William Jansen, No. 78 Karl Poling, and No. 122 Phillip Jordan in their singles rotation. In doubles No. 32 Phillip Jordan and Benjamin Kittav, and No. 77 Duncan Chan and Lui Maxted are represented as well in the charts for the Heels.

Scouting the Blue DevilsÂ
The Blue Devils head into the weekend with a 16-7 overall record, and 8-2 record in conference play. The Pack last went head to head with the Blue Devils on Jan. 27 in the ITA Kickoff weekend hosted by the Blue Devils.Â
ÂThe Blue Devils are currently third in the ACC. Duke checks in at the No. 14 spot in ITA team rankings. The Blue Devils have a collection of ranked players on their squad including No. 3 doubles duo Garrett Johns and Pedro Rodenas. Joining them in the doubles rotation is No. 56 Andrew Zhang and Michael Heller. In singles play No. 24 Garrett Johns, and No. 44 Pedro Rodenas represent the Blue Devils on the court.Â
