NC State Sending Nine Swimmers to NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships

RALEIGH, NC - The NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Committee announced its selection of swimmers to compete at the 2024 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday with nine swimmers representing the Wolfpack women at this year's national meet.
Taking place at the Jack Bauerle Pool in Athens, Ga. on the campus of the University of Georgia, the Women's Championship will run from Wednesday, March 20, through Saturday, March 23.
NC State will also have the opportunity to send divers after next week's Zone B diving Championships through qualification.
Highlighting the individual events is Katharine Berkoff, who will swim in three events and go for her third NCAA championship in 100 backstroke after winning in 2021 and 2022.
Abby Arens and Kennedy Noble return to the NCAA Championships after finishing 12th and 14th in last year's 200 IM. Arens will swim in the 100 butterfly again, where she finished ninth last season. Noble took 11th place in the 100 backstroke and fifth in the 200 backstroke last year and will appear in both events again this season.
Grace Sheble will look to build on her 5th-place finish in the 400 IM.
Below is a list of the selected swimmers and the events in which they qualified. All five of the Wolfpack's relays qualified to race at the NCAA Championships.
Abby Arens – 100 Fly & 200 Breaststroke
Katharine Berkoff – 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle & 100 Backstroke
Annabel Crush - Relays
Tyler Driscoll - Relays
Meghan Donald- Relays
Emma Hastings – 1650 freestyle
Kennedy Noble – 100/200 Backstroke & 200 IM
Grace Sheble – 400 IM
Miriam Sheehan – 100 Backstroke
400 Medley Relay, 400 Freestyle Relay, 200 Medley Relay, 800 Freestyle Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay.
Brooke Travis has made the alternate list in the 1650 freestyle.
A total of 322 participants (281 swimmers and 41 divers) will compete in the championships. Swimmers qualified for the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. Divers will be determined by performances achieved at the Zone Diving Championships held March 10-16. ESPN+ will provide live digital coverage for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday.
