Pack Finishes in 10th Place at Hootie

AWENDAW, S.C. – The NC State men's golf team finished in 10th place at the Hootie at Bulls Bay played at Bulls Bay Golf Club.
The Pack was led by Spencer Oxendine who finished the tournament with a 54-hole score of one-under par. The Fayetteville, N.C, native finished in a tie for 14th. This is the third consecutive tournament Oxendine has paced the Pack and it's the fifth top-15 performance of the season for the NC State graduate.
Next for NC State was Nick Mathews who went below par in both of the final two rounds to finish two shots back of Oxendine in a tie for 25th place.
Jake Wiktor, playing in the NC State five-man lineup for the first time in his career, was next for the Pack in a tie for 45th place. Wiktor shot an even-par 72 in the second round.
Carter Graf and Ethan Choi rounded out the NC State lineup in a tie for 67th place, three shots back of Wiktor, with both players shooting nine-over-par for 54 holes.
Playing as an individual, Joey Lenane, shot a a two-over-par score of 218 through 54 holes to finish in a tie for 28th place.
LSU won the team title by six shots over second place New Mexico. Purdue finished third, two shots back of the Lobos.
NC State is back in action on April 12 when it hosts the two-day Stitch Intercollegiate at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
