Wolfpack Set for Garnet & Black Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The NC State softball team is set to participate in its final tournament of the season at the Garnet & Black Invitational hosted by South Carolina. The Pack will begin play on Friday, March 14 at 10am against Northwestern, then play Michigan State (12:30pm) and Minnesota (3pm) on Saturday, before wrapping up play against the host on Sunday at 3pm.

Sunday's meeting with the Gamecocks is the only match up set to be streamed for the Pack. Fans can view the game on SECN+. Tickets are available for purchase online or at the gate.

A Win ...

Would move the Pack to 16-8 on the season, 15-3 in non-conference play
Would be the 610th win in program history

Series History with Northwestern (NU leads 1-2)

Sophomore Ellie Goins had a career outing against George Mason on March 12. The outfielder recorded two home runs in consecutive at bats and finished with four RBI's.

Three is Tarpey's Lucky Number

The redshirt sophomore had three at bats and recorded three hits with three RBI's against George Mason on March 12.
The game was marked the first of her career where she tallied the same number in all three categories.
