Pack Takes Event Victory and Seven PRs on Final Day of Competition Across Four Meets

RALEIGH - The NC State track and field team returned to action today, picking up an event win and seven personal best marks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
TIGER PAW INVITE:
Distance
Caroline Murrell highlighted a jam-packed Saturday schedule for the Wolfpack, picking up the victory in the women's 3000m with a personal-best time of 9:51.06.
In the men's 3000m, Jimmy Mullarkey clocked in at 8:17.02 to finish fifth and set a new PR. Joe Jaster also ran and claimed a top-10 time, finishing in 8:26.07 to take 10th place.
Middle Distance
Grant Howlett finished in 1:54.47 in the men's 800m to set a new personal best time.
Sprints
Lance Patterson clocked in at 22.25 in the men's 200m to set a new PR mark.
EAGLE ELITE INVITE:
Distance
The team of Grace Hartman, Kate Putman, Angelina Napoleon, and Sam Bush clocked in at 10:55.91 in the women's DMR to finish fifth and establish the fourth-best time in school history.
DON KIRY ELITE INVITE:
Jumps
In the women's triple jump, Jayda Hunter turned in a jump of 12.71m to set a new personal record and finish in 10th place. Her mark now sits as the sixth-highest in the NC State record book.
BU VALENTINE INVITE:
Middle Distance
Wesley Larson (4:04.90) and Zach Hughes (4:10.31) each set new personal records in the men's mile.
Distance
After clocking in at 8:04.87, Kevin Antczak claimed a new PB in the men's 3000m.
UP NEXT
The Pack returns to action on Friday, February 16 for the opening day of the Terrier DMR Challenge, JDL DMR Invite, and VT Challenge.
